Marianna Krumrine

I am a recent graduate from UC Berkeley where I studied Music and French Literature. I have 17 years of experience playing classical piano, and roughly 10 years playing and singing jazz and popular music! I have a strong background in music theory and make an effort to employ that knowledge to help my students understand the theory behind the music that they love and enjoy to play. I have been teaching piano for the past two years, with experience teaching students of different ages and skill levels in music theory and piano. In the Spring of 2019 I worked at an enrichment program in Talence, France as the head piano teacher for students ages 5 to 15 years old. Since June of 2019 I have been working at Albany Music School as a piano instructor and have been teaching private piano lessons independently to students ranging between 6 and 75 years old! My main goal in teaching my students is to ensure that they are having fun and are enjoying their learning experience. I tailor my hour-long lessons to include music theory, ear training, technique, rhythm exercises, musicality, and performance. I make an effort to create personal and effective lesson plans for each of my students, because I know that throughout my music education I always learned more when I felt comfortable and enthusiastic about my curriculum.
