With so many good teachers around here, the trick for any one student is to find a teacher with whom he or she feels comfortable and with whom there is a good "fit". Styles differ, in both learning and teaching. My particular expertise is in working with kids who may not fit the "standard" mold. I am flexible and adaptable, and really know how to listen and respond to each person's inner need, both musically and emotionally.
