Presidio Dance Theatre

Award-winning Presidio Dance Theatre (PDT) has won Nickelodeon
TV’s Parent Choice Awards and Best Dance Studio in the SF Bay
Area, as well as three Mayor of SF Excellence Awards. The California
Arts Council and U.S. State Department have recognized PDT for its
exemplary arts education programs. PDT blends dance with cultural
education and has received Cultural Diplomacy Awards from Russia,
Hungary, Turkey, and the European Parliament/UNESCO.
Our youth programs in Ballet and Character Dance, begin at 2.5 years
with sequential curriculum based on the Russian Vaganova syllabus.
Those who are interested in a deeper commitment may audition for
PDT’s Youth Company (Pre-Professional Program, with entry level at
age 6 years to college age). We also offer classes in Tap, Hip Hop and
Musical Theatre.
As a Performance-Based School, students are invited to perform in
Presidio Dance Theatre’s signature productions on leading SF stages.
